Spike must create a new life for himself while eluding the clutches of the Wolfram & Hart Senior Partners. He begins a season long journey that takes him to many parts of the U.S., as well as a few other countries, and interacts with many characters familiar to Buffy and Angel fans. The journey eventually develops into a quest to gather mystical artifacts necessary to perform a ritual to insure the continuation of life on earth as we know it -- just in time for the finale, of course. Some things never change.
